Inveraray Castle

Turreted castle home of Clan Campbell. Inveraray Castle is a country house near Inveraray in the county of Argyll, in western Scotland, on the shore of Loch Fyne, Scotland's longest sea loch. It is one of the earliest examples of Gothic Revival architecture.

It has been the seat of the Dukes of Argyll, chiefs of Clan Campbell, since the 18th century.[1]

Kilchurn Castle

15th-century castle ruins with loch view. Kilchurn Castle is a ruined structure on a rocky peninsula at the northeastern end of Loch Awe, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It was first constructed in the mid-15th century as the base of the Campbells of Glenorchy, who extended both the castle and their territory in the area over the next 150 years. After the Campbells became Earls of Breadalbane and moved to Taymouth Castle, Kilchurn fell out of use and was in ruins by 1770. It is now in the care of Historic Environment Scotland and is open to the public in summer.[2]

Avich Falls

Avich Falls near Dalavich in Argyll and Bute is a waterfall in Scotland.

The River Avich flows about 1 mile (1.6 km) down the steep glacial valley of Loch Awe from Loch Avich and the falls are near the foot of the gully. There are several falls but the main one is of three cascades crossing open rocks. The falls are in the Inverliever Forest of the Barnaline estate, one of the first Forestry Commission estates in Scotland.[4]
