Welsh Mountain Zoo
Scenic conservation zoo with red pandas. The Welsh Mountain Zoo is a zoological garden located near the town of Colwyn Bay in Conwy County Borough, Wales. The zoo was opened on 18 May 1963 by the wildlife enthusiast and naturalist Robert Jackson. The zoo covers an area of 37 acres.[1]

Victoria Pier
The Victoria Pier was a pier in the seaside resort of Colwyn Bay, Wales. Despite dismantlement since May 2018, much of the metalwork remains and retains the legal status of a grade-II listed structure. Plans for a partial re-build in 2019 have been made by the pier's owner, Conwy County Borough Council.
The partial rebuild is now completed and the pier is now much shorter than it was when originally built. Visitors may walk onto the pier and enjoy the views of the Promenade right up to the Rhos on Sea Point.
Designed by Mangnall and Littlewoods the pier opened in 1900 and was extended in 1903 to the length of 227m. The first two pavilions built on the pier were destroyed by fire along with a bijou theatre. The third pavilion was built in 1934 and was significantly extended and altered in the 1970s to allow for nightclub and amusement arcade entertainments. From the late 1980s, the pier began to decline with the seaward portion of the pier being closed due to a poor state of repair. The condition of the pier and the entertainments continued to decline until 2008 when it closed permanently. A long-standing legal wrangle between the previous private owner and the council ensued. By 2013, the pier was in danger of collapse and a local community group attempted to secure funding for a rebuilding programme which failed. In 2017, part of the pier collapsed onto the beach below, dangerous sections of the pier were dismantled and a new plan to create a shortened pier were agreed upon by the council and a charitable trust representing the community interest.[4]

Old Colwyn
Village in Wales. Old Colwyn is a large village just to the east of Colwyn Bay, in Conwy County Borough, Wales.
Prior to local government reorganisation in April 1974 it was part of the Municipal Borough of Colwyn Bay, but the reorganisation established it as a separate community, whose population at the 2001 census was 7,626, increasing to 8,113 at the 2011 census. It hosted the National Eisteddfod in 1941. It also harbours the 3rd Colwyn Bay (Old Colwyn) Scout Group headquarters and is home to the area's comprehensive school, Ysgol Bryn Elian.[6]

St David's Welsh Church
Building in the United Kingdom. St David's Welsh Church, Colwyn Bay is in Rhiw Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy County Borough, Wales. It is an Anglican church in the parish of Colwyn Bay with Bryn-Y-Maen, the deanery of Rhos, the archdeaconry of St Asaph, and the diocese of St Asaph. The church is situated behind St Paul's Church and is a Grade II listed building.
St David's Church was built in 1902–03 and designed by the Chester firm of architects Douglas and Minshull. It is a small church with an apsidal sanctuary. The west window is Perpendicular in style. Rising from the roof is a square bellcote with a pyramidal roof on which is an octagonal spirelet. Internally, the screen was made by a local blacksmith, David Jones.
