Punta de Teno
Lighthouse in Spain. The Punta de Teno Lighthouse is an active lighthouse in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte on the Canary Island of Tenerife. The current lighthouse was the second to be constructed on the narrow rocky headland of Punta de Teno, which is the most westerly point on the island. It is one of seven lighthouses which mark the coastline of Tenerife, and lies between the Punta Rasca Lighthouse to the southeast, and the modern lighthouse of Buenavista to the northeast.[1]

Cave of Santo Hermano Pedro

Shrine in Spain. The Cave-Shrine of Santo Hermano Pedro, is a Roman Catholic cave-shrine dedicated to Saint Peter of Saint Joseph Betancur. It is located in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, near El Medano on the south of the island of Tenerife, at the end of the Tenerife South Airport runway.[3]

Cave of Achbinico

Cueva de Achbinico, also called cave of San Blas is a Roman Catholic church and cave located in Candelaria, Tenerife, Canary Islands.
After the conquest of the Canary Islands it was the first Christian sanctuary of religious significance. It was also the first sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the Canary Islands, where the Virgin of Candelaria, the patron saint of the Canary islands, was worshipped.[4]
Cave of Chinguaro

Chapel in Spain. Cave-Shrine of Chinguaro is a Roman Catholic church and cave located in Güímar on Tenerife. It was the traditional palace of the Guanche King of the Menceyato de Güímar, Acaimo.
In this cave, the ancient Guanches worshiped the Virgin of Candelaria (Patron Saint of the Canary Islands) as the goddess Chaxiraxi of their traditional faith. This deity was worshiped in the Canary Islands until the Castillian conquest of the archipelago. The icon was later identified with the Virgin Mary and was moved by the Guanches themselves to the Cave of Achbinico in Candelaria. This cave was the first shrine devoted to the Virgin of Candelaria, and the first aboriginal Guanche shrine to contain a Christian idol in the Canary Islands. However, the Guanches at the time still generally adhered to their traditional religion.
The cave is also a place of great archaeological importance.[5]
Punta Abona Lighthouse

The Punta Abona Lighthouse is an active lighthouse on the south-eastern coast of Tenerife in the Canary islands. It is located between Abades and Poris de Abona, in the municipality of Arico. The lighthouse was the second to be constructed on the rocky headland of Punta Abona, which marks the south-east side of the island, and lies between the Punta de Anaga Lighthouse to the north and the Punta Rasca Lighthouse of Arona to the south.[6]

The Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a Roman Catholic church located in Los Realejos, in the north of the island of Tenerife. It is located in the district of San Agustín.
It is considered the most important Marian shrine in the north of the island of Tenerife. The Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the patron of the La Orotava Valley.[7]

Malpaís de Güímar
National park in Spain. Malpaís de Güímar or Badlands of Guimar consist of a volcanic cone, subsidiary cones, and several basaltic lava flows in the Güímar municipality on the island of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, Spain. They total in area about 290 hectares. The lava flows are quite recent, with the typical ʻaʻā type less than 10,000 years old. The large cone is called Montaña Grande and reaches a height of 276 m.[9]

Central Park of Arona
Also known as: Parque Central de Arona
The Parque Central de Arona is a public park of 42,000 square metres in Arona, Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. It is made up of several squares and gardens in the tourist centre of Playa de las Americas.
The park, which opened in 2004, was commissioned by the Cabildo de Tenerife and designed by GBGV Architects (Architect Jorge Mosquera Paniagua) and the botanist Carlo Morici. The park displays the native flora of the Canary Islands.
Walkways are lined with tamarind and macadamia trees. A third of the area is covered with over 40 species of palm trees intermingled with tropical vegetation. The family Bombaceae is well represented by Chorisia speciosa, Bombax ceiba, Ceiba pentandra, and several baobabs, including Adansonia digitata and A. grandidieri.
Morici designed an environmental reconstruction of the endangered Canarian coastal scrub, typically characterized by Euphorbia balsamifera and Euphorbia canariensis.
Other trees include the official tree of Arona, Pistacia atlantica, dragon trees, and the Canary Island Date Palm (Phoenix canariensis).[10]

Lighthouse in Spain. The Punta Rasca Lighthouse is an active lighthouse in the municipality of Arona on the Canary Island of Tenerife. The current lighthouse was the second to be constructed on the headland of Punta Rasca, which is located close to the most southerly point on the island at Punta Salemas. It lies between the Punta Abona Lighthouse to the northeast and the Punta de Teno Lighthouse of Buenavista del Norte to the northwest.[11]

Puerto de la Cruz Lighthouse

Tourist attraction in Puerto de la Cruz, Spain. The Puerto de la Cruz Lighthouse is an active lighthouse in Puerto de la Cruz on the northern coast of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. This modern lighthouse is situated within a seafront car park, to the west of the small port in the town. It is one of seven lighthouses which mark the coastline of Tenerife, and lies between two other modern lighthouses of Punta del Hidalgo to the northeast, and Buenavista to the west.[12]
