Bohdan Matwiejewicz Chitrów monument - a monument located in Uljanowsko commemorating the founder of the city Uljanowsk, Bohdan Chitrov.

The idea of erecting a monument in honor of the founder of the city was born in 2000, but for financial reasons only in March 2005, the Mayor of the City of Uljanowsk signed a contract deciding to install the monument. In April 2007, the city authorities announced a nationwide competition to select the best monument project. The winner of the competition was the sculptor Oleg Klujew, who was selected in June 2007.

The monument consists of a stone plinth on which there was a bronze sculpture of Bohdan Chitov sitting on a horse, and one of the future inhabitants of the city holding the banner on which there is an icon of the face of Jesus Christ. The monument is high at about 6.5 meters, of which the sculpture itself is 3.8 meters high, the total weight of the monument exceeds five tons. The cost of installing the monument was estimated at about 14 million Russian rubles.

According to preliminary assumptions, the monument was to be unveiled on June 12, 2008 in the 360th anniversary of the city of Uljanowsk, however, due to the failure of the monument on time, the solemn opening of the monument took place on September 1, 2008.
