Mountain in Norway. Rondslottet is the highest mountain in the Rondane mountain range in Innlandet county, Norway. The 2,178-metre tall mountain sits on the border between Dovre Municipality and Folldal Municipality, just north of the border with Sel Municipality. There is a trail leading to the summit.[1]

Mountain in Norway. Vinjeronden is a mountain in Innlandet county, Norway. It is one of the ten mountains in the Rondane mountain range measuring over 2,000 metres in height. The 2,044-metre mountain is a tri-point that lies on the border of the three municipalities of Dovre, Folldal, and Sel. The mountain Rondeslottet lies immediately to the north, the mountains Storronden and Rondvasshøgde lie to the southeast, and Svartnuten lies to the southwest.

The mountain is easily accessed by hiking from the Rondvassbu tourist cabin (run by the Norwegian Mountain Touring Association), on the way from Rondvassbu to Rondeslottet, which is the highest mountain in Rondane.[2]

Mountain in Norway. Veslesmeden is a mountain in the Rondane mountain range, in the western part of Rondane often called Smiubelgen.

The mountain is easily hiked from the cabin Rondvassbu (DNT).

Experienced mountain hikers may scramble to Storsmeden from Veslesmeden.[4]

Mountain in Norway. Høgronden is a mountain in Folldal Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The 2,114-metre tall mountain lies inside Rondane National Park in the northeastern part of the Rondane mountain range. The mountain lies east of Midtronden and Digerronden, northeast of Rondeslottet and Vinjeronden, north of Rondvasshøgde, and northwest of Veslsvulten. Norwegian County Road 27 passes by the mountain to the east.[5]

Lake in Norway. Rondvatnet is a narrow lake in Rondane National Park. By the southern end is the Norwegian Mountain Touring Association's cabin Rondvassbu. Rondvatnet separates the eastern part of Rondane from the western part, Smiubelgen.

In the summer season there is a boat service on the lake transporting hikers between the southern and northern end.[6]

Mountain in Norway. Rondvasshøgde is a mountain ridge in Innlandet county, Norway. The ridge is located in Sel Municipality although one end of the ridge extends across the border into Folldal Municipality. The ridge consists of 3 main peaks: Rondvasshøgde Sentraltopp, Rondvasshøgde Øst, and Rondvasshøgde Øst 2.

Rondvasshøgde Sentraltopp measures 1,865 metres (6,119 ft) and it sits towards the western end of the ridge, just east of the mountain Storronden. Rondvasshøgde Øst measures 1,923 metres (6,309 ft) (the tallest of the three peaks) and this sits between the other two peaks. Rondvasshøgde Øst 2 measures 1,838 metres (6,030 ft) and this sits on the municipal border between Sel and Folldal. The mountain Veslsvulten lies just east of this peak.[7]

Mountain in Norway. Storsmeden is a mountain in the western part of the Rondane mountain range. The mountains in the western part are called the Smiubelgen mountains.

The mountain is easiest to access on its western ridge. Experienced hikers may access via Veslesmeden, scrambling the eastern ridge.[8]

Jutulhogget

Jutulhogget is a small canyon close to the cabin Rondvassbu by Rondvatnet in Rondane National Park, Norway. Its highest walls are approximately 20–30 meters high.

The canyon was dug out by large amounts of water at the end of the last ice age.[10]

Mountain range in Norway. Smiubelgen is a mountain range in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the western part of Rondane National Park, separated from the eastern part by the lake Rondvatnet. The Smiubelgen mountains have sharper ridges than the eastern part of Rondane. The mountain range is located in Sel Municipality and Dovre Municipality.

The meaning of the name is 'the blacksmith's bellows'. (See also Storsmeden and Veslesmeden.)
