The Saint Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral Parish, better known as Dumaguete Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic church and cathedral in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental, Philippines. The cathedral is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dumaguete and is considered as the island's oldest stone church having been completed in 1776.[1]

The Port of Dumaguete, is a seaport in Dumaguete, Philippines. It is owned and managed by the Philippine Ports Authority and is the baseport of the Port Management Office Negros Oriental/Siquijor.

After upgrade works were made in the port, the port was inaugurated on March 11, 2021 by President Rodrigo Duterte and Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade.[3]

The second season of The Voice of the Philippines was a reality singing competition in ABS-CBN which started airing on October 26, 2014. apl.de.ap, Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, and Bamboo Mañalac returned as coaches for this season. Toni Gonzaga also returned to host the show; she was also joined by The Voice Kids host, Luis Manzano. Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga also returned to reprise their roles as the show's V-reporters.

The show aired every Saturdays 8:45 p.m. (PST) and Sundays at 8:30 p.m. (PST).

On March 1, 2015, Jason Dy of Team Sarah won the competition, beating Alisah Bonaobra of Team apl.[5]

It was founded by Dr. Vicente Guzman Sinco, former president of the University of the Philippines and an alumnus of Silliman University. It offers over 60 specialized higher education areas of study accredited with the PAASCU, CHED, and the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation.

The university is known as the birthplace of Negros Oriental's Buglasan Festival. The university is also known as an eco-friendly school. In 2015, Foundation University was awarded National Champion by the DENR - Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) for being the Most Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Campus.[7]
