Lake in Germany. Lake Werbellin is a lake in the Barnim district of Brandenburg, Germany. It is located south of Joachimsthal in the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve. The southern shore belongs to the Schorfheide municipality. With a surface area of 7.82 square kilometers it is the fourth largest lake in Brandenburg and with 51 meters the second deepest.[1]

The castle was built in the second part of the 14th century. It was built in the south of the city to protect the passage over the River Oder. During the Thirty Years' War the castle was enlarged in phases. The castle was gradually demolished between 1730 and 1754.[3]

The Oder–Havel Canal is a German canal built between 1908 and 1914, originally known as the Hohenzollern Canal, mostly replacing the Finow Canal. Together with Hohensaaten-Friedrichsthaler Wasserstraße, the Oderhaltung and the Schwedter Querfahrt it forms the Havel-Oder-Wasserstraße. It runs from the town of Cedynia near the city of Szczecin on the Oder River between Germany and Poland to the Havel, a tributary of the Elbe, near Berlin. It is 82.8 kilometres long, and 33 metres wide.

In 1934 a ship lift was built on the canal, near Niederfinow. It vertical lift was 36 metres (118 ft). The dimensions of the caisson are 85 x 12 x 2.5 m. It could lift vessels of up to 1000 tonnes displacement.[7]

The Lutheran Village Church of Bralitz is a church in Bad Freienwalde in the district of Bralitz in the district of Märkisch-Oderland in Brandenburg, Germany. The church is located in the center of the village on the Anger, north of the fork Oderberger Straße / Am Dornbuschsee. The churchyard is enclosed by a stone wall. The church and parsonage are listed buildings.
