Water tower
Also known as: Wasserturm
The water tower of Schwedt/Oder in Brandenburg is part of the former waterworks with its works buildings such as the well house, the de-icing plant and the pump station. It was built in 1911. Since the waterworks was no longer sufficient for the rapidly increasing demand, operations were discontinued in 1965. The water tower is located on the southern outskirts of Schwedt and is visible from afar. It is made of brick masonry.
Since 1995, the water tower and outbuildings serve as a hotel and restaurant.
