Dragsholm Slot

For about 800 years there has been a building on the islet by the “drag”. From the original palace over the medieval castle to the current baroque style, Dragsholm Castle has had an influence on and been influenced by changing times and the surrounding community. Today, Dragsholm Castle has restaurant and hotel facilities.[1]

Rørvig Kirke
Rørvig church is a church located in Odsherred Municipality on Zealand
Today the church is located in the middle of a developed cottage area, but when it was built it was in the centre of a town. However, the town was moved due to sand drift. The church is characteristic with its yellow colour.
In the past, the area was windswept and with little vegetation, and the church therefore also served as a buoy.

Trundholm sun chariot
Also known as: Solvognen
Sculpture. The Trundholm sun chariot, is a Nordic Bronze Age artifact discovered in Denmark. It is a representation of the sun chariot, a bronze statue of a horse and a large bronze disk, which are placed on a device with spoked wheels.
The sculpture was discovered with no accompanying objects in 1902 in a peat bog on the Trundholm moor in Odsherred in the northwestern part of Zealand, (approximately 55°55′N 11°37′E). It is now in the collection of the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen.[2]

Vejrhøj
Vejrhøj is a hill with a large burial mound, located at Nekselø Bugt in Odsherredbuerne in Odsherred, Nordvestsjælland. It is the prominent peak in the protected area of Bjergene.
The top of the mound is 121 metres above sea level, which is the highest point on Zealand. Subtracting the mound, the point is about 113 metres above sea level. The hill itself is one of the hills with the most significant altitude difference in Denmark.
The name Vejrhøj refers to both the hill and the burial mound. Vejrhøj also gives its name to the so-called Vejrhøj arc, which is a very large marginal moraine created by a glacier tongue during the Ice Age.
On Vejrhøj there is a pedestal of the 1st order.

Nykøbing-Rørvig Municipality
Also known as: Nykøbing-Rørvig Kommune
Until 1 January 2007 Nykøbing-Rørvig municipality was a municipality in the former West Zealand County on the northwest coast of the island of Zealand in Denmark, at the mouth of the Isefjord. The municipality covered an area of 40 km², and had a total population of 7,610. Its last mayor was Vagn Ytte Larsen, a member of the Social Democrats political party. The site of its municipal council is the town of Nykøbing Sjælland.
To the northwest of the former municipality is Nyrup Bay (Nyrup Bugt) and Hesselø Bay (Hesselø Bugt), to the east is the Isefjord, and to the southeast is Nykøbing Bay (Nykøbing Bugt).
Nykøbing-Rørvig municipality ceased to exist, as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with existing Dragsholm and Trundholm municipalities to form the new Odsherred municipality. This create a municipality with an area of 355 km² and a total population of 32,739 (2005). The new municipality belongs to Region Sjælland ("Zealand Region").[3]
