Protektorfjellet
Mountain in Svalbard and Jan Mayen. Protektorfjellet is a mountain in Oscar II Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It has a height of 847 meter, and is located west of the bay Trygghamna at the northern side of Isfjorden.[1]
Alkhornet
Mountain in Svalbard and Jan Mayen. Alkhornet is a mountain on the western coast of Spitsbergen, the largest island of Norway’s arctic Svalbard archipelago. It is 428 m in height and stands in southern Oscar II Land on the northern side of the entrance to the inlet of Isfjorden near the bay of Trygghamna. It has been identified as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International because its cliffs support about 10,000 breeding pairs of seabirds. The cliffs are composed of metamorphosed carbonate rock, over a billion years old. The moss tundra below the cliffs receives nutrients from the seabird colonies and is lush in places, providing grazing grounds for reindeer, nesting places for geese and denning sites for Arctic foxes.[2]
Hovtinden
Mountain in Svalbard and Jan Mayen. Hovtinden is a mountain in Oscar II Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It has a height of 575 m.a.s.l. and is located on the ridge of Värmlandryggen. Other peaks along the ridge are Klaratoppen, Karlstadtoppen and Svenskegga.[3]
Värmlandryggen
Värmlandryggen is a mountain ridge in Oscar II Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The ridge has a length of about nine kilometers, and is located at the northern side of Isfjorden, east of Trygghamna and Lovénvatnet, and west of Ymerbukta.The ridge includes the mountains Klaratoppen, Hovtinden, Karlstadtoppen and Svenskegga.[4]
Borebreen
Glacier in Svalbard and Jan Mayen. Borebreen is a glacier in Oscar II Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The glacier has a length of about 22 kilometers. It is located at the northwestern side of Isfjorden, west of Helsinglandryggen, flowing towards Borebukta.[5]
