Green Valley Ranch

Hotel in the Clark County, Nevada. Green Valley Ranch is a hotel and casino located within the eponymous community in Henderson, Nevada. It is owned and operated by Station Casinos, and includes a 143,891 sq ft casino. The resort was initially proposed by American Nevada Corporation, which received city approval to build it in 1996. In addition to a hotel-casino, the company also planned to build a mixed-use project to accompany it.

Construction began in 2000, after American Nevada partnered with Station Casinos, which would co-own and operate the property. Green Valley Ranch opened on December 18, 2001, with 201 rooms and a 50,000 sq ft (4,600 m2) casino. While a locals casino, the resort was designed with an upscale element. Built at a cost of $300 million, it was Station's most expensive resort up to that point, and the most expensive locals casino in Las Vegas history. The resort includes various restaurants, a Regal Cinemas movie theater, and a spa.

American Nevada's mixed-use project opened on adjacent property in 2004, as The District at Green Valley Ranch. A hotel expansion opened in 2005, increasing the room count to 497. Station took over full ownership of the resort in June 2011.[1]

Clark County Museum is located in Henderson, Nevada and is owned and operated by Clark County. The museum includes the Anna Roberts Parks Exhibit Hall and Heritage Street which contains eight historic buildings from the county.

The museum focuses on the history of the southernmost county in Nevada with emphasis on the early Native American inhabitants such as the Paiute people, as well as mining, the impact of the railroads, and gaming. Exhibits include several historic houses as well as a recreated ghost town.[2]

Ethel M Botanical Cactus Garden

Botanical garden in Clark County, Nevada. Ethel M Botanical Cactus Garden is a 3-acre botanical garden located at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory in Henderson, Nevada. The garden, and the factory itself, are open to the public with no admission charge.

The garden, like the factory, are named after Ethel G Mars, first wife of Frank C. Mars and mother of Forrest Mars Sr.

The Botanical Cactus Garden also include a "Living Machine", their name for a demonstration waste water treatment facility. Using bacteria, algae, protozoa, snails and fish, the facility recycles 100 percent of the chocolate factory's waste water without the use of any chemicals. The water is recycled for use in providing water for the garden. The ponds from the waste water facility attract many of the birds that inhabit the garden.

The garden opened in September 1981. During the mid-1980s, average visitor attendance was 300 to 400 people per day. Throughout the year the Botanical Cactus Garden are host to several community events including the annual cactus garden lighting. The cactus garden holiday lights show is hosted in November and December and is free to the general public.[3]

Jokers Wild Casino

It originally opened in 1990 as the Cattle Baron Casino, and closed in 1993. It was reopened on April 1, 1993, as the Jokers Wild Casino.

Klondike Sunset Casino

Casino in the Clark County, Nevada. Klondike Sunset Casino is a locals casino located on 2.2 acres of land at 444 West Sunset Road, west of Boulder Highway, in Henderson, Nevada.

It was initially owned by Tom Yarbrough, who opened it as Tom's Sunset Casino on August 2, 1989. The casino closed in January 1998, due to financial losses and new competition. John Woodrum purchased the casino and reopened it as the Klondike Sunset Casino in October 1999, after a $5 million renovation. The casino was a sister property to Woodrum's Klondike Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip in nearby Paradise, Nevada.

After Woodrum's death in 2014, the casino was closed and sold to Carl Giudici, whose plans to renovate and reopen the casino failed to materialize. Bruce Familian and Jon Athey purchased the casino in December 2015, and reopened it on August 3, 2016, after an eight-month renovation.[7]

The resort includes a 21-story hotel tower with 448 rooms, 13,000 sq ft (1,200 m2) of meeting space, slot machines, table games, a 13-screen movie theater, a 542-seat bingo hall, a 72-lane bowling alley open 24 hours a day, a 5,000-seat outdoor amphitheater and nine restaurants.[8]

M Resort Spa Casino is a boutique hotel, spa, and casino in Henderson, Nevada. Penn National Gaming operates the casino, and the resort is owned by Penn's spin-off company, Gaming and Leisure Properties. The property includes a 92,000 sq ft casino and a 16-story tower with 390 rooms. The M Resort is located eight miles south of the Las Vegas Strip, and is the southernmost casino in the Las Vegas Valley.

The M is named after the Marnell family. It was proposed in 2005, by Anthony Marnell III. His father's company, Marnell Corrao Associates, designed and built the M. Construction began on September 1, 2007, and the resort opened on March 1, 2009, amid the Great Recession. In 2010, Penn purchased $860 million in debt that the resort owed, before taking over complete ownership of the property in 2011. Marnell remained as president for the next four years. In 2019, the M entered a partnership with the Las Vegas Raiders football team, which now rents out the hotel before games.[9]

Event venue in the Clark County, Nevada. The Henderson Pavilion was an amphitheater in Henderson, Nevada used primarily for music performances.

The Henderson Pavilion was known for its 40,000-square-foot canopy style roof. This allowed for the feeling of both being inside and outdoors at the same time.

The Henderson Pavilion was the largest open-air amphitheater in Nevada and the first of its kind in Southern Nevada.

The Henderson Pavilion was owned by the City of Henderson and was the home of the Henderson Symphony Orchestra, and the host of many of musical events each year.

It was located at 200 South Green Valley Parkway, Henderson, Nevada 89012, south of the I-215 freeway and the Green Valley Ranch. The box office was located inside the Henderson Multigenerational Center just adjacent to the venue at 250 South Green Valley Parkway, Henderson, Nevada 89012.

The pavilion was torn down in August 2020 and replaced by the Dollar Loan Center which will house the Henderson Silver Knights of the American Hockey League, affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League.[11]
