Art gallery in Montepulciano, Italy. The Museo Civico di Montepulciano, also known as the Museo Civico Pinacoteca Crociani, is the town or comune art gallery and museum. It is housed in the medieval Palazzo Neri Orselli, a 14th-century structure located on Via Ricci #10, corner with Via Talosa, in the center of the town of Montepulciano, in the Province of Siena, region of Tuscany, Italy. The museum was founded in 1954.[3]

Santa Lucia

Santa Lucia is a Baroque style church, located in the piazza of the same name in the town of Montepulciano, Province of Siena, Region of Tuscany.

The church was designed in 1653 by Flaminio del Turco. The travertine facade sports four composite ionic pilasters with a rounded tympanum above the door. Empty niches and cartouches abound, as well as two stone garlands astride the door. The church underwent restoration in 1822.

The interior has a nave without aisles with a main altar with a wooden crucifix by Giovanni Battista Alessi. The stucco statues of Saints Roch and Sebastian were completed by Bartolomeo Mazzuoli (1684-1749). An altarpiece on the left of the church with Saints Jerome, Margaret, Lawrence, and Agnes was painted by Gaetano Perpignani. To the right of the entrance, in the Ceppari Chapel, is an altarpiece depicting the Madonna della Misericordia by Luca Signorelli. To the left of the church of Santa Lucia is the 13th century Oratory of San Giovanni Battista in Poggiolo.[4]

The church of Saint Augustine is located in Montepulciano, in the province of Siena, in the diocese of Montepulciano-Chiusi-Pienza.

Founded in 1285, it was completely renovated in the 15th century, with Michelozzo di Bartolomeo's work on the lower part of the façade, which is marked by fluted pilasters, surmounted by niches framing the portal, in whose lunette is a terracotta relief of the Madonna and Saints John the Baptist and Augustine.

The upper part of the facade was built later. Restorations carried out in 1784-1791 altered the original layout, of which the single nave remains.

Inside, a Resurrection of Lazarus by Alessandro Allori, a St. Nicholas of Tolentino by Giovanni di Paolo, a polychrome wooden Crucifix by Antonio da Sangallo, and a Crucifixion with mourners by Lorenzo di Credi.
