The "Fraterna fountain" is a public fountain in the city of Isernia, of which it is considered a symbol.

Listed by the Treccani Encyclopedia as one of the most beautiful in Italy, with six water jets, unusual lodge-like shapes, made of compact limestone blocks from various eras, it is one of the most significant and important works in the Pentro municipality.

It formerly stood in Fraterna Square, opposite the Church of the Conception, but after the Allied bombing in 1943 it was moved to Celestine V Square (formerly Largo Conception), in the heart of the city's historic center.

Cathedral in Isernia, Italy. Isernia Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city of Isernia, Italy, the seat of the Bishop of Isernia-Venafro. It is dedicated to the Apostle Peter. The cathedral is situated in the Piazza Andrea in the old town of Isernia, and stands on the site of an Italic pagan temple of the 3rd century B.C. Construction of the present building began in 1349. Its present appearance is the result of many renovations, occasioned partly by numerous earthquakes and partly by building refurbishments.[2]
