Xinghai Square, is a city square in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China. It is located to the north of Xinghai Bay. It covers a total area of 110 ha, making it the largest city square in the world. Its name literally means "the Sea of Stars".[1]

Attraction in Dalian, China. Victory Square or Victory Plaza is the central plaza in the Qingniwaqiao area, Zhongshan District, Dalian, Liaoning, China. It is located immediately south of the south exit plaza of Dalian Railway Station and is bounded by Changjiang Road on the south side, Zhongshan Road on the south, Jiefang Road on the east, and Qingniwa Road on the west.

Dalian Victory Square has on the ground only a coffeeshop and sevel other two- to six-story buildings, especially on ZhongShan Road side, but is noted for its three-story underground shopping area. There are no monuments of "victory" placed here on the square or on Victory Road (Chinese: 胜利路), one of the city's large boulevards.

The square was proposed by Ts'ai Ch'en Nan (Cai Chennan, zh:蔡辰男) of Taiwan when he toured here in 1992, and was constructed from the following year to 1998, when it was opened.[4]

Russian-designed square with a plaza. Zhongshan Square is a city square in the Zhongshan District of Dalian, Liaoning, China named for Sun Yat-sen; originally designed and built by the Russians in the 19th century. Several classical buildings are located on the square, which were built during the first half of the 20th century by the Japanese.[5]

Tourist attraction in Dalian, China. People's Square is a city square in Dalian, Liaoning province, China.

It was initially built as the Dairen Tyouja Square (Chinese: 大连长者广场) by the occupying Japanese in 1914, changed to Dairen Government Square in 1945, renamed Dairen Stalin Square (Chinese: 大连斯大林广场) by the occupying Soviets in 1949, and finally renamed the People's Square in April 1999. It was the largest square in Dalian from 1914 to 1997, until the Xinghai Square was opened.[6]

Olympia 66 is a retail building in Xigang District of Dalian, China, designed by Aedas, which began construction in 2011. It is located on Wusi Road, one of the main commercial avenues in Dalian. Completed in 2015, Olympia 66 has 221,900 square meters of shopping, dining and entertainment space.

This shopping complex is adjacent to Dalian People's Stadium. To the east is the headquarters of the municipal government, in People's Square and Xinghai Square is to the west.

The design of Olympia 66 was inspired by the Chinese twin carp emblem, a symbol of wealth and abundance in Chinese culture which are typically used in Chinese New Year paintings.[7]

City in China. Jinzhou District is one of the seven districts of Dalian, Liaoning province, People's Republic of China. It is located about 20 kilometres northeast of the city centre and facing the Bohai Sea to the west as well as the Korea Bay to the east and has a longer history than Dalian itself, and used to be a thriving walled city where the officials of this area were dispatched from the central government. Recently, it is again a thriving town, having Dalian Development Area within its area as well as becoming a bedroom community to downtown Dalian. Its area is 1,352.54 square kilometres and its permanent population as of 2010 is 1,102,773.[8]
