Lake Durant
Lake in New York State. Lake Durant is a lake located 3 miles east of Blue Mountain Lake, New York. It has an area of 289 acres and an elevation of 1769 feet. Fish species present in the lake are largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, tiger muskie, black bullhead, yellow perch, and pumpkinseed sunfish. There is a state owned hard surface ramp on NY-28/NY-30, 3 miles east of Blue Mountain Lake in the campground. There is a day use fee.[1]
Dun Brook Mountain
Mountain in New York State. Dun Brook Mountain is a mountain located in Adirondack Mountains of New York located in the town of Indian Lake east-northeast of Blue Mountain Lake. Tirrell Mountain is located west and Tirrel Pond is located west-southwest of Dun Brook Mountain.[2]
Blue Mountain
Peak in New York State. Blue Mountain is a peak in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State in the United States. Located east of Blue Mountain Lake, Hamilton County, the peak reaches a height of 3750 ft/1143m. For hiking, the elevation gain is 1,559 feet and the trail length is four miles. The trailhead elevation is 2,200 feet. It is the location of the Blue Mountain Fire Observation Station, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.[3]
Blue Mountain Fire Observation Station
Observation deck in Indian Lake, New York. The Blue Mountain Fire Observation Station is a historic fire observation station located on Blue Mountain at Indian Lake in Hamilton County, New York. The station includes a 35-foot-tall, steel frame lookout tower erected in 1917, an observer's cabin built in 1975, the remains of three observer's cabins, remains of a radar station built in the 1960s, and remnants of telephone lines along the foot trail. There are four contributing resources: the tower, trail, remnants of a 1949 observer's cabin, and 1890s stone benchmark. The tower is a prefabricated structure built by the Aermotor Corporation and provided a front line of defense in preserving the Adirondack Forest Preserve from the hazards of forest fires.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.[4]

Lake in New York State. Tirrel Pond is a lake located northeast of the Hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake, New York. Tirrell Mountain is located northeast and Blue Mountain is located west-southwest of the lake.[5]
