Public library. Eckhart Public Library and Park is a historic library building and public park located at Auburn, DeKalb County, Indiana. The library was built in 1911, and is a two-story, glazed brick building with Bungalow / American Craftsman design elements. It has a gable roof, round arched windows, and sits on a raised basement faced with Bedford limestone. The library and park were donated by Charles Eckhart. Located in the park is a contributing fountain added in 1918.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

The Eckhart Public Library remains in operation today as one of four libraries serving Dekalb County.[2]

Mausoleum in Auburn, Indiana. Auburn Community Mausoleum is a historic mausoleum located in Roselawn Cemetery at Auburn, DeKalb County, Indiana. It was built in 1917, and is a one-story, monolithic cubic limestone structure with simple Classical Revival style detail. It features a shallow porch with two Doric order columns. The mausoleum continued to be used for interments into the 1960s.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.[3]

Downtown Auburn Historic District is a national historic district located at Auburn, DeKalb County, Indiana. The district encompasses 52 contributing buildings in the central business district of Auburn. The district developed between about 1870 and 1935, and includes notable examples of Victorian, Classical Revival, Romanesque Revival, and Colonial Revival style architecture. Notable buildings include the DeKalb County Courthouse, Henry Opera House, DeKalb County Jail, Commercial Club, Auburn City Hall, South Interurban Station, Dilgard Building, Y.M.C.A. Building, Auburn Hotel, U.S. Post Office, and Masonic Temple.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.[4]
