Daewangam Park

Park in Ulsan, South Korea. Daewangam Park is a resting place in Ilsan, Dong-gu in the city of Ulsan. The total area covers 942,000 square metres, and there is a sand field in Ilsan Beach next to the park. Daewangam Park is famous for its lighthouse the guidance of the 'Ulgi'. From the entrance to the park to the lighthouse, there is a 600-meter-long pine forest spanning. On the beaches of Daewangam Park, there are huge boulders of rock formations that look like prehistoric dinosaur fossils are lying down. At the end of the park, there is Daewangam. Daegwanggyo Bridge, which connects land and Daewangam, was built and donated by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. in 1995.

At night, a subtle neon light encloses surrounding the Daewangam and creates a unique atmosphere. In connection with the scenic beauty of the night, Daewangam Moonlight Festival has been held since 2012. Daewangam Moonlight Festival is a representative cultural event of Ulsan Dong-gu, which is held every year since 2012. Usually, it opens at Daewangam Park during the evening of September to October. In 2017, the event was titled 'The Hundred Years of Light meets the Thausand Years of Sound.' It is performed various cultural performances such as Si-nangsong, dance, and singing. And after the performances, 'Walking along the moonlight' is proceed. There are about 1000 participants attending the event.

And Daewangam Solbaramgil walking festival has been held in 2017. It is a walking festival hosted by Ulsan Dong-gu, the theme of "Let's be drunk with the scent of pine trees and waves." The walking course is 4.1km long and walks from Daewangam Park to nearby Ilsan beach. Around 1,300 people attend this walk festival.[1]

Seonam Lake Park

Park in Ulsan, South Korea. Seonam Lake Park is an urban park next to Hamwolsan in Seonam-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. The park was previously named Sunam Dam Park because of the large C-shaped dammed lake in the center of the park. There are approximately 4 kilometres of walking trails around the lake, a rose garden, a lotus pond, a soccer field, tennis courts, and a survival game field. It takes approximately one hour to walk the trails around the lake. There are additional trails that wind through the mountains that surround the lake. One such trail leads to 3 miniature places of worship, including the 1.8-meter tall "An min temple", the 1.8 m tall "Lake Church", and the 1.5 m tall replica of St. Peter's Basilica.[9]

Bangudae Petroglyphs

Collection of around 200 rock carvings. Korea's National Treasure No. 285, the Bangudae Petroglyphs, are located mainly on flat vertical rock faces around 8m wide and around 5m high on steep cliffs on the riverside of the Daegokcheon stream, a branch of the Taehwa River, which runs eastward and joins the Donghae at Ulsan. The surrounding ten rock faces have a small number of engravings as well. The rocks consist of shale and hornfels oriented toward the north and they shine for a while at sunset. As an overhanging cliff they are in the structure of a rock shelter.[10]

Mountain in South Korea. Daeunsan is a mountain located in Onyang, Ulju County, Ulsan, South Korea. It sits on the boundary between the districts of Oegwang-ri and Unhwa-ri in the province of Gyeongsangnam-do. Daeunsan has an elevation of 742 m. The mountain was previously named Bulgwangsan.[11]
