Pangyo

Pangyo refers to a planned city surrounding Pangyo-dong, Baekhyeon-dong, Unjung-dong, and Sampyeong-dong of Bundang-gu and Siheung-dong and Sasong-dong of Sujeong-gu.

The area is surrounded by the mountains Cheonggyesan and Geumtosan to the North and Barasan to the south, with Unjungcheon and Geumtocheon, tributaries of Tancheon, flowing through the center of the city.

This area is 9,307,000 m2 (2,815,000 pyeong) and can hold up to 80,412 people with 29,350 families.

Gyeongbu Expressway separates the town into two unofficial regions: Seopangyo (literally, West Pangyo) and Dongpangyo (literally, East Pangyo).[1]

Green Factory

The Green Factory is an office building located in Bundang-gu Seongnam-si of South Korea, and serves as the headquarters of Naver Corporation, a Korean internet content service company. The building was completed in March 2010, with 27 floors above ground and 7 floors underground.

The Green Factory's energy-saving features helped it win the acclaimed Good Design award in 2011. The building is also certified as 'platinum' under the global green building design rating system LEED.[2]

Gachon University

Gachon University is an academic institute located in South Korea. The current structure of Gachon university is the result of a merger between four existing universities. Gachon University of Medicine and Science and Gachon-gil College merged in 2007, Kyungwon University and Kyungwon College merged in 2007, and Gachon University of Medicine and Science and Kyungwon University merged in 2012. Gachon University has three campuses for undergraduates, the Global Campus located in Seongnam, satellite campuses on Ganghwa Island and in Yeonsu-dong, and the School of Medicine in Guwol-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, South Korea. Gachon University signed a strategic partnership with Hawaii Pacific to allow students to study abroad.[3]

Corporate campus in Seongnam, South Korea. Pangyo Techno Valley is an industrial complex in the city of Pangyo, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It is also known as the Silicon Valley of Korea. The complex focuses on information technology, biotech, cultural technology and fusion technology. One of the benefits of the diversity of fields and businesses is the maximized growth potential in the field of high-tech technology through exchanges between the companies. The location within a major metropolitan area creates synergy effects because of the proximity to other techno valleys or adjacent knowledge-based infrastructure clusters in the province. The business environment of the PTV is supported by the government of the Gyeonggi Province through the implementation of various support facilities as for examples a R&D center or public support center.

Bundang-dong

Bundang-dong is one of the 19 dongs of Bundang-gu, Seongnam, South Korea. The total area is 3.40 km², with a population of 31,186. It is a quiet residential area with trees and parks, located at the foot of Bulgok Mountain. Taehyeon Park is close to the residential area. Different from other areas in Bundang-gu, houses in Bundang-dong mainly consist of 3-story villas and studio apartments rather than high-rise apartments. This quiet place has several upscale cafes and restaurants which attract people looking for a quiet place rather than busy places like Seohyeon Station. Bundang-dong consists of two small towns, Saetbyul town and Jangan town. It is close to Bundang Central Park and Yuldong Park. Two elementary schools and Daejin High School lie in Bundang-dong. The famous St. John's Cathedral is near Yuldong Park.[5]
