The Baca House and Outbuilding, in Trinidad, Colorado, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

The Baca House is part of the Trinidad History Museum, which "features the historic Bloom Mansion and Baca House, two residences built in the late 19th century, as well as heritage gardens and the Santa Fe Trail museum, all on one block in Trinidad's acclaimed historic district."

It is a two-story adobe house having 10 rooms, which was home of rancher and businessman Felipe Baca. An adobe outbuilding includes 12 rooms, arranged in a 160 feet (49 m) long building, which housed ranch hands and visitors.

The house was originally built for "Santa Fe Trail entrepreneur" John Hough. Felipe and Dolores Baca purchased it for 22,000 pounds of wool. It was built in 1869 or 1870.

The property is on the 300 block of Main St. in Trinidad. The Bloom Mansion is adjacent.

In 1970 it was expected the house, after renovations were completed, would be opened as a museum.[1]

Building. The Jaffa Opera House, at 100–116 W. Main St. in Trinidad, Colorado, was built in 1883. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

It is Italianate, in fact High Victorian Italianate, in style. The first floor provided commercial spaces; the second floor provided a 710-seat opera house with a 45 by 20 feet (13.7 m × 6.1 m) stage and a 22 by 16 feet (6.7 m × 4.9 m) proscenium.

When listed in 1972, the main commercial space had been Hausman Drug Store for many years. Photo in 2012 and Google Streetview dated May 2018 show it apparently vacant. It was damaged in an earthquake measured at 3.5 on the Richter magnitude scale, and some experts recommended its demolition in 2011, but a community coalesced in opposition to that. A renovation project scheduled to be completed in 2019 was planned.

It is included as a contributing building in the Corazon de Trinidad historic district, National Register-listed in 1973.[5]

Church in Trinidad. The First Methodist Episcopal Church in Trinidad, Colorado, which has also been known as the First United Methodist Church, is a historic church at 216 Broom Street. It was built in 1911 and was added to the National Register in 2005.

It was deemed "a good local example of an ecclesiastical interpretation of the Romanesque Revival style. Its metal-clad, central dome roof is a distinctive feature within Trinidad's architectural heritage, as is its yellow brick construction. Dome roofs are not often seen in Romanesque Revival churches in Colorado and red brick was the material of choice for the majority of Trinidad's buildings. The church also reflects important elements of the Akron Plan, a Protestant church design utilized during the late 19th and early 20th centuries."[7]

Stylistically, the eclectic composition almost defies classification. Predominantly Victorian Gothic, the church also possesses elements of other styles from the Late Victorian era, including Romanesque Revival, the Stick Style, and Queen Anne with some Germanic influences.[8]
