United States Astronaut Hall of Fame
Hall of fame. The United States Astronaut Hall of Fame, located inside the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Heroes & Legends building on Merritt Island, Florida, honors American astronauts and features the world's largest collection of their personal memorabilia, focusing on those astronauts who have been inducted into the Hall. Exhibits include Wally Schirra's Sigma 7 space capsule from the fifth manned Mercury mission and the Gemini IX spacecraft flown by Gene Cernan and Thomas P. Stafford in 1966.[1]

American Space Museum
Museum in Titusville, Florida. The American Space Museum is a museum in Titusville, Florida. It includes the US Space Walk of Fame, an outdoor plaza on the Indian River that honors both the astronauts and the NASA and contractor personnel who made American manned space exploration possible. The monuments surround a pool and are dedicated to the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Space Shuttle programs. The museum houses related exhibits and artifacts and is located at 308 Pine Street.[2]
Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum
Museum in Titusville, Florida. The Valiant Air Command, Inc. Warbird Museum is located at the Space Coast Regional Airport in Brevard County, just south of Titusville, Florida. The VAC contains vintage aircraft and a 30,000-square-foot hangar with a restoration area. The VAC also has a Memorabilia Hall with flight gear, dress uniforms, weapons and artifacts. The collection includes fixed and rotary wing aircraft from World War I to the present. The flagship aircraft of the museum is a Douglas C-47 Skytrain called "TICO Belle" which returned to flying status in July 2009 after the aircraft was involved in an accident.[3]

Haulover Canal
The Haulover Canal is a waterway north of Merritt Island, Florida, near the former site of Allenhurst, that connects Mosquito Lagoon with the Indian River, and is part of the Intracoastal Waterway.
In the early 1960s there were plans to relocate the canal further north, near the junction of US 1 and Courtenay Parkway, but by 1964 when the new Haulover Canal Bridge was constructed these plans had been shelved.[4]
American Police Hall of Fame & Museum
The American Police Hall of Fame & Museum is located at 6350 Horizon Drive just south of Titusville, Florida, adjacent to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. It houses law enforcement exhibits, a memorial and a Hall of Fame. It is the nation's first national police museum and a memorial dedicated to law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
The museum was founded in 1960 in North Port, Florida by Gerald Arenberg. He was a police officer injured in the line of duty by a drunk driver in 1955. It was his dream to build a memorial to honor all law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, those that paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep the peace, to protect, and to serve. The museum was moved from North Port to the former FBI building in Miami, Florida in 1990. This building had 3 floors, housing the museum on the first 2 floors and the administration offices on the 3rd floor. By 2000 this facility became too small to house the growing number of exhibits, as well as the growing number of names in the memorial. In 2001, building began on the museum in Titusville. This facility opened in May, 2003. The Space Coast area was chosen because of its proximity to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, the United States Astronaut Hall of Fame, and of course, Orlando.
The museum is supported and maintained by the National Association of Chiefs of Police. Archived 2017-03-08 at the Wayback Machine U.S. National Police Surgeon Linval K. Fleetwood MD, nominated by Chief Arenberg and appointed by U.S. President Bill Clinton, served the mission of the Hall of Fame & Museum from 1996 to 2007 by advising Congress about police issues, performing ceremonies for officers killed in the line of duty, and providing counseling for the families of those officers.[5]

Old Brevard County Courthouse
Courthouse. The Old Brevard County Courthouse, renamed in 2006 as the Vassar B. Carlton Historic Titusville Courthouse, is an historic courthouse building located at 506 South Palm Avenue in Titusville, Florida. Designed in the Classical Revival style, it was built in 1912 by Lightman, McDonald and Company to serve as Brevard County's first courthouse building erected in Titusville.
Because of its long, narrow shape, Brevard County has centralized its governmental services in Viera, with a North Branch in Titusville and a South Branch in Melbourne. Titusville, however, still remains the official county seat. Today the Old Brevard County Courthouse is still used for some functions, but is an annex of the North Brevard Government Center located at 400 South Street in Titusville.
In 1989, the Old Brevard County Courthouse was listed in A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture, published by the University of Florida Press. It was renamed in February 2006 in honor of the late Vassar B. Carlton (1913-2005), who served as a County Judge and then as a Circuit Judge in Brevard County from 1941 until his election to the Florida Supreme Court in 1968.[8]
