De Verwachting is a corn mill in Tholen in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a round, brick-built tower mill dating from 1848. The mill has many similarities with De Vier Winden in Sint-Annaland.

The mill continued to operate on wind power until 1930 after which it was dismantled to serve as a mechanical grinding mill. In 1964 the milling stopped. In 1980, Mr. and Mrs. van Gorsel bought the adjacent property and the mill, with the intention of shortening the mill hull and incorporating it into the house. However, the plans were changed and they started to restore the mill. The Expectation was placed on the monument list. On September 5, 2009, the mill was fully restored. The mill can grind grain with a pair of grinding stones. The first floor and first attic have been added to the house. In the mill the model collection of Willem Bastiaanse is exhibited.
