St. Joseph Co-Cathedral

Cathedral in Thibodaux, Louisiana. St. Joseph Co-Cathedral is a Catholic cathedral located in Thibodaux, Louisiana, United States. Along with the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales in Houma it is the seat of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux. It is also the oldest parish in the diocese.

The church building and rectory were listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Saint Joseph's Co-Cathedral and Rectory on March 5, 1986 as part of the "Thibodaux Multiple Resource Area".[1]

Building in Thibodaux. St. John's Episcopal Church and Cemetery is a historic church located at 718 Jackson Street in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

Erected in 1843, the brick church was a Greek Revival building. Despite some alterations in 1867 or 1868 the building still retains its original architectural style. The bell was presented to the church in 1855, and it's possible that the cupola was not existing before this time. In 1856 the portico was enclosed to create a vestibule. The recessed chancel with domed ceiling was added in c.1867.

The 3.3 acres (1.3 ha) area, comprising the church and adjacent cemetery, was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 13, 1977.[2]

Mansion in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Rienzi Plantation House is a historic mansion located at 215 East Bayou Road in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

While it gives the impression of dating to c.1840, it is believed that the house was built between 1814 and 1825.

Rienzi plantation house is located directly across Bayou Lafourche from the town of Thibodaux. Despite the proximity of a modern shopping center, the house enjoys a historic setting due to the large live oaks on the property. Two of the oaks are registered in the Live Oak Society.

The mansion was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 31, 1980.[3]
