Trapper Peak
Mountain in Montana. Trapper Peak is the highest point in the Bitterroot Mountains, part of the larger Bitterroot Range in western Montana. It rises over 6,000 feet above the nearby Bitterroot Valley.
The peak is located within the Central Bitterroot Range, a subrange of the Bitterroot Mountains and within the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Area of the Bitterroot National Forest.
A trail to the peak climbs 3,800 feet (1,160 m) from the end of a Forest Service road.[1]
Lolo Peak
Mountain in Montana. Lolo Peak is a mountain in the western United States, in the northern Rocky Mountains. It is located in the Bitterroot Range of western Montana in Missoula County, southwest of Missoula.
East of Lolo Pass at the Idaho border, the peak is visible to the south from US 12, which runs between the pass and Traveler's Rest in the town of Lolo.[2]

Bitterroot Mountains
Mountain range in Montana. The Northern and Central Bitterroot Range, collectively the Bitterroot Mountains, is the largest portion of the Bitterroot Range, part of the Rocky Mountains and Idaho Batholith, located in the panhandle of Idaho and westernmost Montana in the northwestern United States. The mountains encompass an area of 4,862 square miles.
The mountains are bordered on the north by Lolo Creek, to the northeast by the Clark Fork, on the south by the Salmon River, on the east by the Bitterroot River and Valley, and on the west by the Selway and Lochsa Rivers. Its highest summit is Trapper Peak, at 10,157 feet (3,096 m).[5]
