The Mehlsack is a fortified tower in Ravensburg built around 1425. The name comes from its white plaster and round shape.

The Mehlsack is located on the southeastern edge at the highest point of the old town in the direction of the Veitsburg. With its height of 51 meters on the St. Christina slope above the city, it is a landmark of the city of Ravensburg, recognizable from afar. The platform of the tower was used by the citizens to control the Veitsburg area, which until the 17th century was in the hands of the bailiffs, the political opponents of the free imperial city. Thus, the tower fulfilled a similar function as the Sackturm in Warburg, built in 1443.
