St. Luke's Episcopal Church

Church in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. St. Luke's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located at 6th and Chestnut Streets in Lebanon, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.

The cornerstone of the church was laid on St. Luke's Day, October 18, 1879 by Bishop Howe. The church was built in 1880. It was designed by noted New York architect Henry Martyn Congdon (1834–1922) in the Gothic style. The building is in the form of a Latin Cross and constructed of native bluestone and sandstone. It measures 116 feet (35 m) long and 75 feet (23 m) wide, and features a square, 85-foot (26 m) tower with an octagonal turret. The roof is covered in rows of blue and red slate.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The church was originally incorporated as "Christ Church, of Lebanon, Pa." in 1859, and admitted that same year to the Convention of the Diocese of Pennsylvania. The name of the church was changed in 1865 to the current name, "St. Luke's".[1]

Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church

Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, also known as Old Salem Lutheran Church, is a historic Evangelical Lutheran church located in Lebanon, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. The property includes two contributing buildings: the 18th century Old Salem church and the 19th century Salem Memorial Chapel. The Old Salem church was built between 1796 and 1798, and is a two-story, rectangular limestone building. It was modified in 1848, to infill corners and add the second story. The Salem Memorial Chapel was built in 1898, and is a limestone and sandstone building in a Gothic style with Richardsonian Romanesque influences. It was renovated in 1928. A 10-foot tall obelisk is also erected on the property.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.[2]

Tabor Reformed Church, also known as Tabor United Church of Christ, is a historic Reformed church located at 10th and Walnut Streets in Lebanon, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. It is currently the home of the LCBC Church. It was built between 1792 and 1796, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, limestone building measuring 42 feet by 62 feet. It has a four-story stone tower with spire, slate covered gable roof, and a chapel added in 1914.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.[3]

Josiah Funck Mansion is a historic home located in Lebanon, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. It was built about 1855, and is a three-story, brick residence with a mansard roof in the Second Empire style. The main section measures 65 feet by 40 feet. Two additions were built sometime after 1932. It features a two-story porch with decorative woodwork.

The home was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.[4]

Historical landmark in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Chestnut Street Log House is a historic home located in Lebanon, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. It was built around 1772, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, rectangular log residence on a limestone foundation. It is three bays wide and one bay deep, with a gable roof, and central fireplace. It is believed to have been raised 1 1/2-feet about 1850, and according to National Register of Historic Places records was restored to its 1700s appearance around 1978.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.[5]

Building in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Light's Fort was built in 1742 by Johannes Peter Leicht. Light's Fort is the oldest standing building of any kind in the county and city of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. John Light, an immigrant, purchased the land on December 29, 1738, from Caspar Wistar, and wife, Katherine, of the City of Philadelphia, Brass Button Maker, for 82 pounds and 4 shillings. Light's Fort was built in 1742 on a tract of land, which was situated on a branch of the Quittapahilla Creek in Lancaster County at North 11th and Maple Streets. It contained 274 acres including an allowance of 6% for roads together with woods, water courses, etc.[6]
