What to See in Lauffen am Neckar - Top Sights and Attractions

The Regiswindiskirche in Lauffen am Neckar in the Heilbronn district in northern Baden-Württemberg is a Protestant parish church. Predecessor buildings date back to the 8th century and were dedicated to Saint Martin. From 1227, a building dedicated to St. Regiswindis was built, which was rebuilt into its present form after a fire in 1564. Next to the church there is an old cemetery chapel, to which the stone shrine of St. Regiswindis from the 13th century was moved around 1880, and since then it has been called the Regiswindis Chapel.

St. Martin's Church is a Romanesque-Early Gothic Protestant church in the historic town center of Lauffen am Neckar in the Heilbronn district of Baden-Württemberg. The building with its mighty tower was the place of worship of the Lauffener Städtle until its profanation at the end of the 18th century as St. Nicholas Chapel. Due to a confusion with the predecessor of the Regiswindiskirche, the chapel was rededicated as the Martinskirche in 1884 after its renovation.

The Count's Castle in Lauffen am Neckar is a residential castle from the early 11th century. It is located on an island in the Neckar River and was built by the Counts of Lauffen. Today, the Grafenburg serves as Lauffen's town hall and is the only island castle on the Neckar River.

The Old Prison in Lauffen am Neckar in the Heilbronn district in northern Baden-Württemberg is part of the historic fortifications of the Städtle district. A residential building was later built on top of the medieval round tower.
