Archive in Marbach am Neckar, Germany. The Museum of Modern Literature or LiMo is part of the German Literature Archive in Marbach am Neckar, Germany. The museum won its architect the Stirling Prize in 2007.

The museum opened in September 2006 and was designed by British architect David Chipperfield and constructed at a cost of €10 million by Leonard Weiss GmbH with engineering by Ingenieurgruppe Bauen.

The museum stands on a rock plateau in Marbach's scenic park, overlooking the valley of the Neckar River. It displays and archives 20th-century literature. Notable original manuscripts include The Trial by Franz Kafka and Berlin Alexanderplatz by Alfred Döblin.[1]

The Schiller National Museum, along with the Modern Literature Museum, is part of the literary museums of the German Literature Archive in Marbach. It was opened in 1903 on the Schillerhöhe in Marbach am Neckar as the Schiller Archive and Museum. It had been intended since 1895 as a memorial to Friedrich Schiller, who was born in Marbach, and other poets from Swabia, and was built starting in 1901 according to the plans of Stuttgart architects Ludwig Eisenlohr and Carl Weigle. In 1922 it was given its present name.

The church, which was built in its present form in three construction phases in the second half of the 15th century, marks the oldest settlement core of Marbach.
