It is one of the premier horticultural display gardens in the United States and is open to visitors year-round to enjoy native and exotic plants and horticulture, events and performances, seasonal and themed attractions, as well as educational lectures, courses, and workshops.[1]

Episcopal Church of the Advent
Religious organization in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Church of the Advent is an Episcopal church in Kennett Square in Chester County, in the US state of Pennsylvania. It received a charter for formation from the state on May 1, 1882.
Church of the Advant began as a small church, compared to other congregations at the time. For the preceding dozen years its members had been meeting in various places in Kennett Square, including the Unicorn Tavern that stood on the northwest corner of State and Union Streets. The tavern, renowned in Bayard Taylor's The Story of Kennett Square, stood here for many years but burned down not long after Advent was founded. Meetings of Episcopalians also took place in the old Town Hall located on the south side of State Street, between Union and Broad.[2]

Kennett Square Historic District is a national historic district located in Kennett Square, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It encompasses 507 contributing buildings in the central business district and surrounding residential areas of Kennett Square. They are mostly residential and commercial structures built between 1875 and 1924 and in a variety of popular architectural styles including Colonial Revival, Victorian, and Federal. Notable non-residential buildings include the American Road Machinery complex, Kennett Consolidated School, New Century Club, Baptist church, St. Patrick's Parochial School, former Episcopal Church of the Advent, Friends Home, Bernard Building, and Municipal Building.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.[4]
