Monastery in Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany. Fürstenfeld Abbey is a former Cistercian monastery in Fürstenfeldbruck in Bavaria, Germany.

It is situated about 25 km north-west of Munich. The abbey was one of the household monasteries of the Wittelsbachs. The abbey church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is held to be a masterpiece of the late Baroque in southern Germany.[1]

The Gegenpoint Castle Site is the burgstall or site of a ruined spur castle from the high Middle Ages, which stood about 2 km to the east of Fürstenfeld Abbey in Fürstenfeldbruck, Bavaria, Germany. It was abandoned in the 15th century and its walls were plundered for building materials. Today, only the foundations are visible.[2]

The Air Force and Aviation Memorial was built with donations from members of the Air Force, aviation and other private individuals between 1957 and 1966 and is dedicated to the air force and aviation dead who lost their lives while serving in war or peace. It is located in Fürstenfeldbruck near the former air base.
