The Aichach City Museum is a museum of urban and regional history of the district town of Aichach of the district of Aichach-Friedberg in the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia. In 1906, the town's historical collection was founded, which formed the basis for the local history museum opened in 1909 in the Aichach hospital. After several moves, the Historical Collection has been located in the former Aichach Hospital since 1973 until today, sharing the building with the Aichach Municipal Archives and the Children's Day Care Center. After being closed since 1997 for extension and renovation work under the direction of the architectural office Werner Plöckl, the museum was reopened on October 17, 2008 with a new concept. The permanent exhibition is located on the upper floor and in the attic. On the first floor there are event rooms and space for various special exhibitions.

The Wittelsbach Museum is an archaeological museum in the Swabian town of Aichach an der Paar in the district of Aichach-Friedberg. It is located in the Lower Gate, a gate tower of the late medieval Aichach city wall built around 1418. From 1989 to 2019, it housed a branch museum of the State Archaeological Collection. The museum got its name because of the extensive documentation on display there of Wittelsbach Castle, which was the ancestral seat of the Wittelsbach dynasty from the 12th to the beginning of the 13th century.

In 2019, the city of Aichach took over the museum. Now the gate tower houses an exhibition on archaeology in the city area on four floors. The exhibition focuses on the Grubet with its early medieval ore mining district and, above all, the excavations at the ancestral castle of the Wittelsbach dynasty in Oberwittelsbach.
