Church in Berlin, New Hampshire. St. Anne Church is a historic church at 58 Church Street in Berlin, New Hampshire, United States. It is the church for Good Shepherd Parish within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Manchester. St. Anne Parish was founded in 1867, and was Berlin's first Roman Catholic congregation. It was merged with Guardian Angel Parish, St. Joseph Parish, and St. Kieran Parish in 2000 to form Good Shepherd Parish. Its building, constructed in 1900, is an important local example of Romanesque architecture, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.[1]

Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church

Church building in Berlin, New Hampshire. The Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church is a historic Eastern Orthodox Church building on Petrograd Street in Berlin, New Hampshire. The church is known locally as "The Russian Church" because it was built in 1915 by immigrants from the Russian Empire who were mostly from the provinces of Grodno, Volyn, and Minsk in modern-day Belarus and Ukraine. The church closed in 1963 but reopened in 1974 for the funeral of a Russian immigrant from modern-day Belarus, named Eugenia Tupick. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and is part of the Orthodox Church in America.[2]

The district includes the St. Anne Church, the St. Regis School, and the St. Louis Hospital, all facilities built by the church to support the local French Canadian community. Built in 1905 as a public elementary school, it is a well-preserved example of an early 20th-century public school building. It became Notre Dame High School in 1942, operated by the local Roman Catholic diocese, and was the city's first Catholic high school. Closed in 1972, it has since been converted into senior living. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.[5]
