The Einhard Basilica in Steinbach, a district of Michelstadt in the Hessian Odenwald, is a church building from the 9th century. The well-preserved basilica is considered an exceptional building and one of the few examples of Carolingian architecture in Germany because of the largely preserved Carolingian masonry in the area of the central nave, the northern side choir and the crypt. Its name refers to its builder Einhard, the advisor of Charlemagne and Louis the Pious.

It is under the administration of the State Palaces and Gardens of Hesse and can be visited for an entrance fee.

Michelstadt Castle, often and with a declining tendency also called Kellerei, is a former town castle in Michelstadt in the Odenwald district in Hesse.

The castle originated from a Frankish meierhof, its predecessor building dating back to the 10th century was destroyed in 1307. The current area was originally only the outer castle, the former core castle has not been preserved. Today's complex essentially originates from the reconstruction works of the 14th century as well as various building measures of the 16th and 17th centuries.

The facility was purchased by the city of Michelstadt in 1970, renovated in subsequent years and is now home to the Michelstadt City Museum, among other things. The basement of the warehouse building is occasionally used for cultural events and various markets or as a concert hall during the "Michelstadt Music Night".

The Stadtkirche is a Protestant church in Michelstadt. It was built essentially in the late Gothic period as a pseudo-basilical hall church, but still contains parts of a Carolingian predecessor building. Even the predecessor building was the burial place of many of the Schenken and Counts of Erbach. It is significant because of the numerous funerary monuments from the High Middle Ages to the Neo-Gothic period.

The parish belongs to the Odenwald Deanery of the Starkenburg Provostship of the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau.
