Confederate Monument in Versailles

The Confederate Monument, in the city cemetery of Versailles, Kentucky, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 17, 1997, as part of the Civil War Monuments of Kentucky MPS.

The monument, with it unique shape, was made of white marble and put on a base of concrete and limestone. It was erected in 1877. Names of Confederate veterans are on each side of the hexagon, with graves encircling it.[1]

Big Spring Church

The Big Spring Church, located at 121 Rose Hill St. in Versailles in Woodford County, Kentucky, USA, was built in 1819. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

It is 47 by 32 feet (14.3 m × 9.8 m) in plan and has three bays on its front and five bays along its sides.

It was built as a Baptist meeting house, at the head of a ravine holding the spring after which it is named.[2]

Cleveland House

Building. The Cleveland House is located in Versailles, Kentucky. Originally the Cleveland Orphan Home, it was an orphanage that incorporated in 1869, remaining in operation until the 1950s. The original 1875 house was made of brick in classic revival style architecture. The current structure was built in 1926, a 2½-story Dutch Colonial Revival building on the main foundation of the earlier house.

The current building is home of The Woodford Inn, a 10-room bed and breakfast inn. Prior to becoming The Woodford Inn, it was The Cleveland Home, a residential facility for girls through age 17, until its closure in 2005.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.[3]
