Park in Toms River, New Jersey. Huddy Park is a location in Highlands, New Jersey. Dedicated to the patriot hero Joshua Huddy of the American Revolutionary War, who was hanged there in 1782, Huddy Park is the site of the local "Clamfest" since 1994.[1]

Township in New Jersey. South Toms River is a borough in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 3,684, reflecting an increase of 50 from the 3,634 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 235 from the 3,869 counted in the 1990 Census.

South Toms River was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 28, 1927, from portions of Berkeley Township, based on the results of a referendum held on May 3, 1927. The borough was named for the neighboring Toms River Township and the Toms River, which were named for Capt. William Tom.[2]

Courthouse. Ocean County Courthouse is in Toms River, Ocean County, New Jersey, U.S. It was built in 1851. It was added to the New Jersey Register of Historic Places in 1981 and National Register of Historic Places in 1983 as the Ocean County Court House.[3]

Public library system. Ocean County Library is a public library system that serves 32 municipalities out of the 33 municipalities of Ocean County, New Jersey. Beach Haven on Long Beach Island is not a member municipality. The Headquarters branch is in Toms River. It also offers Outreach services to life care centers, Books by Mail and Home Borrowers services for the homebound, and a volunteer program. There are active Friends of the Library groups associated with individual branches. There are approximately 380,000 registered borrowers, and 290,000 bibliographic records in the catalog. Annual circulation was near 4.4 million in 2014. All library locations have free wireless access to the Internet and internet terminals for public use.[4]
