Expansive mountain for hiking and climbing. Xueshan, formerly known as Mount Sylvia and by other names, is a mountain in the Heping District of Taichung, Taiwan. It is the 2nd-highest mountain in Taiwan and in East Asia, at 3,886 m above sea level. It is located in the Shei-Pa National Park and is visible in good weather from hills near Taiwan's capital Taipei.[1]

Mountain in Taiwan. Mount Tao, Tao Mountain is 3,325-metre-high mountain located in the north of the Wuling Farm and is one of Snow Mountains group. The mountain is ranked no No. 44 in Taiwan hiking declination scale; Borders with Ridge Jianshi, Hsinchu County, Taichung City, Heping District, Marked with Peakpoint label no. 6327. In local Atayal language the mountain is known as "B'bu Qba", meaning "fist Hill". In Chinese the name translates as "Peach" mountain, due to the view from southwest side.[2]

Peak in Taiwan. Mount Dabajian is located in the northern section of the Shei-Pa National Park in Hsinchu County, Taiwan. It is surrounded by numerous other peaks, the most predominant including Mount Nanhuda, Mount Yize, Central Range Point, Mt. Pintian, and Mt. Mutule. It is also near the Madala River.[4]

The Xueshan Range is a mountain range in northern Taiwan. It faces the Chungyang Range on the southeast. The tallest peak of Xueshan Range is Xueshan, which has a height of 3,886 m. Shei-Pa National Park is located around the peaks of Xueshan and Dabajianshan.[5]

The Dasyueshan National Forest Recreation Area in Heping District, Taichung, contains a section of Dasyueshan, consisting of several shorter peaks, with Siaosyueshan (Little Snow Mountain) being the tallest at 2997m. Formerly a logging area, many of the affected areas have been reforested and it has become a popular scenic destination and birdwatching spot. Bird species seen here include the Mikado pheasant, Swinhoe's pheasant, and Taiwan partridge.[7]

Chi You Mountain, also known as Yu Luo Fu Mountain and Chi You Mountain, is a well-known peak in the Snowy Mountain Range in Taiwan, with an elevation of 3302.648 meters and a triangular point marker 6317 at the top. It is located between Ping Ping Li, Heping District, Taichung City and Yu Feng Village, Chien Shih Township, Hsinchu County, in the eastern part of the Snowba National Park. It is ranked 52nd among the 100 mountains in Taiwan, and is one of the Four Beauties of Wuling. It is named after the several high mountain ponds such as Xinda Pond, Yami Pond and Pintian Pond in the western grassland of the mountain. The name of the mountain is recorded as "Youchi Mountain" in the "Taiwan Mountain List" by Xing Tianzheng, a senior citizen in the mountain community. The name of the mountain is "Tamarappu", which translates to "Tamarappu Mountain" in Japanese, and it is translated into Chinese as "Yurofu Mountain". It is on the north east ridge of the northern part of the Snowy Mountains, and is connected to Mount Pinta on the west, and to Mount Momo, Mount Siren, and Mount Kara.

Xiao ba jian shan

The 3,418-meter Mount Xiao Ba Jian, one of Taiwan's top 100 mountains, is part of the Snow Mountain Range. To the northeast and east of the mountain is the Big Bajian Mountain, and to the north is the Izawa Mountain. The mountain is characterized by its resemblance to a monkey.
