Old Narragansett Church

Plum Beach Light
Lighthouse in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Plum Beach Light, built in 1899, is a sparkplug lighthouse in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
The lighthouse was built using pneumatic caisson engineering. A granite base was added in 1922. The light was deactivated in 1941 when the first Jamestown Bridge was built. The light became dilapidated until 1999 when the Friends of Plum Beach Lighthouse received ownership of the lighthouse. The lighthouse is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2003 the Plum Beach Lighthouse's exterior was completely restored and its beacon re-activated soon after; it is now licensed as a Coast Guard Private Aid to Navigation. The Friends of the Plum Beach Lighthouse designed, submitted and introduced an official License Plate to be distributed to any Rhode Island private passenger registration. The extremely popular plates have sold over 7000 sets since they were released in July 2010.[2]
Seabee Museum
Museum in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Seabee Museum and Memorial Park is a non-profit military history museum in Davisville, Rhode Island, devoted to the Seabees of the U.S. Navy.
Quonset Point, where the Seabee Museum is located was a major United States Navy base during World War II, home to the Naval Air Station Quonset Point and the birthplace of the iconic Quonset Hut. In the 1990s a group of former Seabees decided to found and construct the museum themselves. The museum is a non-profit museum developed on 6.5 acres by former U.S. Navy Seabees. The museum includes the former Navy concrete chapel, seven vintage Quonset huts, and a huge Seabee statue; and the non-profit Quonset Air Museum located in buildings that were originally built for the Naval Air Station Quonset Point.[3]

Gilbert Stuart Birthplace
Museum in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The Gilbert Stuart Birthplace and Museum is located in Saunderstown, Rhode Island, US. Gilbert Stuart was born on December 3, 1755 in the colonial-era house located on the property, becoming a famous American portraitist of the 18th and 19th centuries. The museum consists of the 1750 house in which Stuart was born, an operational snuff mill, an operational grist mill, a mill pond, streams, a fish ladder, nature trails, an herb garden, and a welcome center and art gallery.[4]

Smith's Castle is one of the oldest houses in the state. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1993 as Cocumscussoc Archeological Site, due to the artifacts and information digs in the vicinity have yielded. It is located just off U.S. 1.[5]

St. Paul's Church
Episcopal church in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. St. Paul's Church is a historic church at 55 Main Street in the village of Wickford within the town of North Kingstown, Rhode Island. It is a single-story Romanesque Revival structure, designed by Rhode Island architect Thomas Tefft and built in 1847. Its main rectangular block has a gable roof, and narrow round-arch windows on the side walls with molded surrounds. The front of the church is asymmetrical, with the tower on the left and its entry slightly off-center between the tower and a small projecting narthex area. The square tower has single narrow round-arch windows on the first level, paired round-arch windows on the second, and clock faces on the third. A roof skirt rises to an open octagonal belfry, which is capped by a steeple and spire.
The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.[7]

Wickford
Village in Rhode Island. Wickford is a small village in the town of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States, which is named after Wickford in Essex, England. Wickford is located on the west side of Narragansett Bay, just about a 20-minute drive across two bridges from Newport, Rhode Island. The village is built around one of the most well-protected natural harbors on the eastern seaboard, and features one of the largest collections of 18th century dwellings to be found anywhere in the northeast. Today the majority of the village's historic homes and buildings remain largely intact upon their original foundations.[9]
Old Narragansett Cemetery
Cemetery. The Old Narragansett Cemetery is an historic cemetery on Shermantown Road in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Variant names for the cemetery include Narragansett Cemetery, Platform Cemetery, and The Platform Cemetery. The cemetery occupies a 1.2 acres plot about 300 feet south of Shermantown Road, roughly midway between its two junctions with Mourning Dove Drive. It was established early in the 18th century, and is one of North Kingstown's oldest and longest-used cemeteries. It has 110 marked graves, and was used from its establishment c. 1705 to the 1880s. The most prominent memorials are to James MacSparran and Samuel Fayerweather, two long-serving ministers at the Old Narragansett Church, which stood nearby when it was built in 1706.
The cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.[10]
