Courthouse. Old Hardy County Courthouse, also known as "First" Hardy County Courthouse, is a historic courthouse building located at Moorefield, Hardy County, West Virginia. It was built in two sections, the first built in 1792-93 and the extension added about 1833. It is an "L"-shaped brick building painted white. The original section measures approximately 25 by 50 feet and the 1833 extension 50 by 25 feet. The original section has Federal style detailing and features a cupola atop the gable roof. The building was remodeled in 1972. It served as the courthouse and clerk's office until the 1860s. It was subsequently occupied by a girls' day and boarding school and offices.

Following a remodel by architect Marjorie Pierce in 1972, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.[1]

Judge J. W. F. Allen House, also known as "Ingleside," is a historic home located at Moorefield, Hardy County, West Virginia. It was built in 1842, and is a two-story brick dwelling in the Greek Revival style. It features eight foot high windows. The interior features a semi-circular staircase. A two-story rear addition was built in the 1960s.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.[2]

Old Stone Tavern

Building in Moorefield. Old Stone Tavern is a historic home and tavern located at Moorefield, Hardy County, West Virginia. The original fieldstone section was built in 1788. Attached to it are three frame sections added about 1840, 1860, and 1900, and a cinder block apartment built in the 1950s. It features a front porch. It was built by early resident Thomas Parsons and is one of the earliest buildings in Moorefield.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.[3]

Thomas Maslin House, also known as Mortimer Gamble House and Maslin-Gamble House, is a historic home located at Moorefield, Hardy County, West Virginia. It was built in 1848, and is a two-story brick dwelling with a vernacular Federal style. It features a single-bay, pedimented portico supported by paired Ionic order columns. Above the four panel entrance is a semi-elliptical fanlight. Also on the property is a contributing two story, brick servant's quarters.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.[4]
