Savannah Memorial Park
Savannah Memorial Park Cemetery also known as El Monte Memorial Park and the Savannah Pioneer Cemetery is the oldest American non-sectarian cemetery in Southern California. The park is located in Rosemead, California, part of the park is in the neighboring city of El Monte. The park has been in continuous operation since its founding in 1850. Some of the burials may date back into the 1840s before Savannah Memorial Park became a Memorial Park. Savannah Memorial Park was designated a California Historical Landmark on March 6, 2012.[1]
Montebello Genocide Memorial
Monument in Montebello, California. The Armenian Genocide Martyrs Monument, better known as Montebello Genocide Memorial, is a monument in Montebello, California in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, dedicated to the victims of the Armenian genocide of 1915. The monument, opened in April 1968, is a tower of eight arches supported on 75-foot-tall white concrete columns. The memorial was designed by Hrant Agbabian. It is the oldest and largest memorial in the United States dedicated to the Armenian Genocide victims. The inscription on the memorial plaque reads:
Armenian Martyrs Memorial Monument: This Monument erected by Americans of Armenian descent, is dedicated to the 1,500,000 Armenian victims of the Genocide perpetrated by the Turkish Government, 1915–1921, and to men of all nations who have fallen victim to crimes against humanity.
As part of the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, thousands of Armenians from different parts of Greater Los Angeles area and American politicians gather in Montebello memorial every year on April 24 and lay flowers to the victims of the genocide.[2]

House at 530 S. Marengo Avenue
The House at 530 S. Marengo Avenue is a historic house in Pasadena, California. Built in 1905, the American Craftsman house was designed by Pasadena architect Louis B. Easton. Easton was one of several prominent Craftsman architects in Pasadena in the early 1900s; the house at 530 S. Marengo, located next to his own self-designed house at 540 S. Marengo, was one of his earliest designs. The house features exposed beams and hand-carved joint work in the spirit of the Craftsman style, which emphasized function over form. The interior of the home was inspired by homes in The Craftsman, Gustav Stickley's architecture magazine, which ultimately featured some of Easton's later works.
The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 13, 1979.[3]

The Casa de Parley Johnson is a historic house in Downey, California, U.S. It was built for Alexander Parley Johnson, an heir to citrus fields, real estate and oil investments, in 1927. It was designed in the Spanish Revival architectural style by Roland Coate. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 20, 1986.[4]
