Delaware County Institute of Science
Museum in Media, Pennsylvania. The Delaware County Institute of Science is a science and natural history museum, library and education center in Media, Pennsylvania. It was organized in 1833 and contains exhibits of mounted animals and birds; fossils, shells and corals from around the world; an herbarium; a large collection of minerals; and a reference library and lecture hall for scientific presentations.[1]

Media Theatre
Theater. The Media Theatre is a 440-seat theater in Media, Pennsylvania, built in 1927 as a vaudeville house and cinema. It is the only regional professional theater that hires equity actors in Delaware County.
The Media Theatre opened its doors on August 29, 1927, as a cinema decorated in the English Renaissance style. Real estate entrepreneur Walter Strine Sr. purchased the building in the 1970s and leased it to a company that operated it as a movie theater. He closed the theatre in 1990, and began repair work in 1992 to transform it into a performing arts center. The theatre opened on February 8 1994, with My Fair Lady as its first production. For the building's 70th anniversary in 1997, the Media Theatre hosted Roaring Twenties and 1930s jazz music and productions. SEPTA ran a decorated trolley car to honor the run of the theatre. Strine sold the theatre to the Borough of Media in 2000. The entire enterprise was renamed “Media Music Theatre Company” in 2005. Media Theatre celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2019 with a gala and benefit. In December 2019, the Media Theatre hosted a memorial for Broadway actress and singer Ann Crumb, who frequently performed at the theatre and considered it a "second home."
Since its first performance of My Fair Lady, many musicals have performed at the theatre, including Sunset Boulevard, The Wizard of Oz, Chicago, and Annie. The Molly Maguires had its world-premiere at the theatre, which ended up becoming one of its most popular shows. The theatre also offers classes, camps and productions for children and teens. Despite the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, the children's camp was able to go on with safety precautions.[2]

The Media Armory, is a historic National Guard Armory located in Media, Delaware County, Pennsylvania built in 1908 for Company H of the 6th Infantry Regiment of the Pennsylvania National Guard.[3]

Rose Tree Park
Park in Upper Providence Township, Pennsylvania. Rose Tree Park is located on Providence Road in Upper Providence Township, Pennsylvania in the suburbs of Philadelphia and used to be used for steeplechase racing. The park is 122 acres in size and is open to the public. There are benches, picnic tables, a gazebo, a nature trail, an outdoor amphitheater, and three historical buildings in the park. The Old Rose Tree Tavern is on the National Register of Historic Places. Besides offering daily recreational use, Rose Tree Park hosts a variety of special events.[4]

Building in Rose Valley, Pennsylvania. Hedgerow Theatre is a theatre company based in Rose Valley, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, founded in 1923. It was "for many years the only true U. Providence Friends Meetinghouse
Building. Providence Friends Meetinghouse is a Historic Quaker meeting house at 105 North Providence Road in Media, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The first mention of the Providence Friends meeting is in 1696 when it was recorded that a meeting will be held "At Thomas Minshall's every First and Fourth day." The meeting was moved from Thomas Minshall's house in 1700 to a log building which was replaced by a stone structure in 1727. In 1753, the previous stone structure was removed and replaced with a larger stone building that stands today.
John Martin Broomall, the U.S. Congressman from Pennsylvania's 7th congressional district was known to attend the Providence Friends Meetinghouse and spoke there several times.
The Providence Friends Meetinghouse is an active worship center.[6]

It was built in 1877, and is a 2 1/2-story, gray stone house in the Gothic Revival style. It has a slate covered intersecting gable roof. The building features a verandah and conservatory. The house was converted to apartments prior to 1967.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.[8]
