Medieval fortress and curiosities museum. Trausnitz Castle is a medieval castle situated in Landshut, Bavaria in Germany.
It was the home of the Wittelsbach dynasty, and it served as their ducal residence for Lower Bavaria from 1255–1503, and later as the seat of the hereditary rulers of the whole of Bavaria. The castle was founded in 1204 by Duke Ludwig I.[1]

This Brick Gothic landmark is the tallest church in Bavaria, and the tallest brick building as well as church in the world. It is also the 2nd tallest brick structure in the world, made without steel supports. St. Martin's church has a height of 130.6 metres.[2]

St. Jodok, also called Jodokskirche, is the second oldest parish church in Landshut after the city parish church of St. Martin. Along with St. Martin's Church and Holy Spirit Church, it is one of the three large Gothic brick churches in Landshut's old town. Started in the High Gothic period, the building was completed like several other Landshut churches in the second half of the 15th century, i.e. during the Late Gothic period. Most of the current furnishings date from the Neo-Gothic period in the 19th century.
