Though officially dedicated to the deity Acala (Fudō Myōō), the temple serves as a cult-center of the deity Kangiten (Shoten) and is also called 'Ikoma-Shōten' (生駒聖天).[1]

Mountain in Japan. Mount Ikoma is a mountain on the border of Nara Prefecture and Osaka Prefecture in Japan. It is the highest peak in the Ikoma Mountains with a height of 642 meters.

Chogyumi-ji Temple is a temple of the Shingon Ritsu sect in Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture. The name of the mountain is Mayumiyama. The main deity is the eleven-faced Kannon (Goddess of Mercy). The temple was founded by Gyoki. The main hall, a national treasure, is known as a representative example of an esoteric Buddhist temple of the Kamakura period.
