Waterfall in North Carolina. Dry Falls, also known as Upper Cullasaja Falls, is a 65-foot waterfall located in the Nantahala National Forest, northwest of Highlands, North Carolina.[1]

Cullasaja Falls
Waterfall in North Carolina. Cullasaja Falls is a waterfall in southwestern North Carolina. The waterfall is located on the Cullasaja River in the Nantahala National Forest and is part of the Mountain Waters Scenic Byway. Cullasaja comes from a Cherokee word meaning "honey locust place".[2]
Bridal Veil Falls
Waterfall in North Carolina. Bridal Veil Falls is a 45-foot waterfall located in the Nantahala National Forest, northwest of Highlands, North Carolina. With a short curve of roadway located behind the falls, it had the distinction of being the only waterfall in the state that one could drive a vehicle under, however this has since been closed and is now used for pedestrian access only.[3]

Quarry Falls
Waterfall in North Carolina. Quarry Falls is a small waterfall located beside US Hwy. 64 west of Highlands, North Carolina, United States. It is best known for the large, deep pool at the bottom and is a popular place for swimming during warm weather. Quarry Falls is known to the locals as "Bust-Your-Butt-Falls" or "Sliding Rock".[4]

Town in North Carolina. Highlands is an incorporated town in Macon County in the U.S. state of North Carolina. Located on a plateau in the southern Appalachian Mountains, within the Nantahala National Forest, it lies mostly in southeastern Macon County and slightly in southwestern Jackson County, in the Highlands and Cashiers Townships, respectively. The permanent population was 1,014 at the 2020 census.[6]

Church of the Incarnation
Church building in Highlands, North Carolina. The Church of the Incarnation built in 1896 is a historic Carpenter Gothic Episcopal church building located at 111 North 5th Street in Highlands, Macon County, North Carolina.
The Rev. John A. Deal, the first Episcopal missioner in Macon County, was responsible for founding the Church of the Incarnation as well Saint Agnes Episcopal Church in Franklin, the county seat. Its first building, a Victorian Gothic Revival wood-frame building, was built in 1896; it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. In 2002, a new sanctuary was built on the property and the 1896 building became the chapel.
The Church of the Incarnation is still an active parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina. The Rev. Bentley Manning is the Rector of the parish.[7]

Ammons Creek Falls
Waterfall in Georgia. Ammons Creek Falls is a waterfall located in the Tallulah Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest in Rabun County, Georgia that cascades for over 100 feet. There is 1.75 mile loop hiking trail that provides access to both nearby Holcomb Creek Falls and Ammons Creek Falls. There is a wooden observation deck for viewing the falls.
The falls can be accessed from Clayton by taking Warwoman Road east for 10 miles. Turn left onto Hale Ridge Road (Forest Service Road 7) for 7 miles until it intersects Overflow Road (Forest Service Road 86).[8]
Holcomb Creek Falls
Waterfall in Georgia. Holcomb Creek Falls, located in the Chattooga River Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest in Rabun County, Georgia, drop 120 feet over shoals. There is 1.75 mile loop hiking trail that provides access to both Holcomb Creek Falls and nearby Ammons Creek Falls. A wooden observation deck has been built to allow views of the waterfall.
