N.S.G. Kluterthöhle und Bismarkhöhle
Kluterthöhle is located in Ennepetal, south of the Ruhr area.
The Kluterthöhle was formed by leaching of a layer of reef limestone sloping down to the north and about 12.5 m thick, which was formed in the Devonian sea about 370 million years ago. Due to its climate, it is also used as a recreation place for asthmatics. The cave has a constant temperature of 10 °C.
During the Second World War, the Kluterthöhle served the people of Ennepetal as a bunker for protection against air raids.
The cave is used as a spa and show cave. In addition to conventional tours, adventure tours are offered in it, which lead the visitor through narrow passages in an extreme tour with a flashlight and sturdy shoes.
