Mountain in Japan. Mount Yari is one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains. The 3,180-metre-high peak lies in the southern part of the Hida Mountains of Japan, on the border of Ōmachi and Matsumoto in Nagano Prefecture and Takayama in Gifu Prefecture. The priest Banryū founded a temple there.[1]

Mountain in Japan. Mount Tsubakuro is a 2,763-metre-high mountain in Azumino, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. It is situated in Japan's Hida Mountains in Nagano Prefecture. It was specified for Chūbu-Sangaku National Park on December 4, 1934. Granite forms the unique body with white sands and sharp rocks exposed at the top. Kassen One is a steep trail challenging to climbers ascending from Nakabusa Hot Springs.[2]

Peak in Japan. Mount Tsurugi is located in the eastern area of Toyama Prefecture, Japan. It is one of the tallest peaks in the Hida Mountains at 2,999 m. It is one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains, and is called "the most dangerous mountain" climbable.

Tsurugi has a number of routes which approach world class long routes. It is recognised in Japan as "the" premiere mountaineering peak in winter. Although dangerous, its death toll is a small fraction of those who have died on Japan's much smaller, but more lethal Tanigawa-dake.[7]
