Westerly Downtown Historic District
Historical landmark in Westerly, Rhode Island. The Westerly Downtown Historic District is a historic district encompassing most of the commercial and civic district of Westerly, Rhode Island, United States. It extends from Broad and Union Streets eastward along High Street, and north along Canal Street to Railroad Avenue, where it extends to include the historic railroad station. The district contains a compact and cohesive collection of commercial and civic buildings built primarily during the last three decades of the 19th century and the first three decades of the 20th century, including the Old Town Hall, the current Town Hall, the Spanish Colonial railroad station, and the Classical Revival post office.
The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, with expansions in 1995 and 2007.[1]

Winnapaug Pond
Lake in Rhode Island. Winnapaug Pond is a breached saltwater lagoon in Westerly, Rhode Island, United States, connected to Block Island Sound by the Weekapaug Breachway, which was constructed during the mid-1950s. The 2.5-mile lake is separated from the Atlantic by a large sandbar. The Atlantic side of the sandbar is lined by beaches, including Misquamicut Beach, Atlantic Beach, and Westerly Town Beach. In 2010, its overall water quality was assessed as "good". Winnapaug is relatively small and shallow, and is favorable for kayaking. It is one of nine coastal lagoons, referred to as "salt ponds" by locals, in southern Rhode Island.[5]
Perry Homestead Historic District
The Perry Homestead Historic District encompasses a cluster of residences built as a family compound by the locally prominent Perry family in Westerly, Rhode Island. Extending mainly along the northern part of Margin Street south of downtown Westerly, the area was developed in the 1920s, and includes five family residences, a caretaker's house, and shared landscaping of a former gentleman's farm. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.[6]
