Mountain in Germany. The Simmersberg is a mountain, 780.8 m above sea level, near Schnett in the municipality of Masserberg) in the county of Hildburghausen in Germany. It is the main summit of a forked mountain chain, which runs along the boundary between the Thuringian Forest and the Thuringian Highland from Masserberg towards the southwest and is bounded by the valleys of the Schleuse and its tributary, the Biber.

Other subpeaks of the ridge are the Hohe Warth (718 m) in the west, the Kohlberg (718 m) in the southwest, the Schnetter Berg (757 m) in the north and the Höheberg (780 m) in the northeast. The volcanic origins within the otherwise non-volcanic mountain ridge can be recognised especially well near the Simmersberg and its two 718 metre-high pre-summits.

The 740-metre-high Holzberg, which is 2 km northeast and adjacent to the Schnetter Berg and north of the Höheberg, separated by a deep valley from the Simmersberg peaks, must be considered as an independent mountain.[1]

Mountain in Germany. The Großer Beerberg is a mountain located in the Thuringian Forest, Germany, and the highest point in the state of Thuringia. The nearest town is Suhl.

Between the summit of the Beerberg and that of its eastern neighbour, the Schneekopf (978 m), the second highest mountain of Thuringia, is a 60-metre-deep col. To the west is the Sommerbachskopf (941 m).

On the summit of Beerberg is one of the few moorlands of the Thuringian Forest. Until the end of the 1980s there was an observation tower on the mountain. A few years ago, a small platform was again established below the summit at Plänckners Aussicht, which offers an outstanding view to the south and southwest.

The listed Protestant village church Zur heiligen Dreifaltigkeit (Holy Trinity) stands in the district of Gießübel in the municipality of Schleusegrund in the district of Hildburghausen in Thuringia.

The church was built in baroque style in 1722 and 1723 and consecrated with the name "Zur heiligen Dreifaltigkei".

The architectural style in the form of an octagon with reinforced corners that look like buttresses is intentional. The north and west sides each have an entrance portal. The other sides have large windows. An hour bell from 1745 hangs in the ridge turret.

The bronze bells of the ringing are from 1926, 1949 and 1950 and were placed in the bell house above the church.

Inside, the basic shape of the church determines the interior. The gallery runs along all sides. On the west side is the organ by Johann Christian Dotzauer, a master organ builder from Hildburghausen and contemporary of Johann Sebastian Bach. However, it was renewed and rebuilt in the course of time to correspond to the development, so in 1841 by the master organ builder Michael Schmidt from Schmiedefeld.

Above the church stands the Martin Luther parish house since 1950, which also serves as a winter church.

In 2003 the roof was renovated. It was discovered that the hour bell was hidden in the ridge turret. It strikes again.

In the middle of the 15th century there was already a chapel in a central place in the village. It was extended to the present church around 1490.

The altar and the crucifix on it as well as the baptismal font are from the 20th century.

The organ from 1785 was made by the Wagner workshop. In 1880 it was rebuilt by the organ builder Michael Schmidt from Schmiedefeld, and in 1955 it was again rebaroqued by the Böhm company. A comprehensive restoration was carried out between 2000 and 2003 by the firm Rösel & Hercher.
