Cemetery in Penn Yan, New York. Lake View Cemetery is a historic cemetery located at Penn Yan in Yates County, New York. It is a 50-acre cemetery property that includes wooded and open acres included in the cemetery's historic landscape plan and developed in two phases between about 1855 and 1906. The property includes the Abraham Wagener Memorial Chapel, a two-story brick Gothic Revival structure built in 1923–1924. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.[1]

Theater in Penn Yan, New York. Sampson Theatre is a historic theater building located at Penn Yan in Yates County, New York. It was built in 1910, and is a three-story, poured in place, concrete building. It measures 60 feet wide and 100 feet deep and consists of two sections; a front auditorium section and a rear stage section. Both sections are covered by gambrel roofs. The theater was originally used for vaudeville and as a movie theater. In 1929, it was converted for use as a miniature golf course, and later was used as a warehouse for tires.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.[2]

Post office in Penn Yan, New York. US Post Office-Penn Yan is a historic post office building located at Penn Yan in Yates County, New York. It was designed and built in 1912–1913 and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, James Knox Taylor. It is a symmetrically massed, 1+1⁄2-story red brick structure on a granite-clad raised basement in the Colonial Revival style. It is a contributing element in the Penn Yan Historic District.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.[4]

Penn Yan Historic District is a national historic district located at Penn Yan in Yates County, New York. The district consists of 65 acres and contains 281 structures, 210 of which are contributing. It includes a broad range of architecturally significant resources that document the village's development from the 1820s to 1929. It includes representative examples of residential, commercial, industrial, civic, and ecclesiastical structures. Highlights include the Birkett Mills, the Chronicle Building, Knapp Hotel, and the Castner House. Located within the boundaries of the district are the separately listed Yates County Courthouse Park District and the U.S. Post Office building.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.[5]
