Trinity Episcopal Church
Church in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Trinity Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located in Mount Airy, Surry County, North Carolina. It was built in 1896, and is a one-story, Gothic Revival style masonry structure of uncoarsed granite rubble. The main block of the church measures 20 feet by 50 feet. It has a small gable narthex and features lancet windows. It is the oldest church building in Mount Airy.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It is located in the Mount Airy Historic District.[1]

W. F. Carter House
W. F. Carter House, also known as the Carter House, is a historic home located at Mount Airy, Surry County, North Carolina. It was built about 1908, and is a two-story, Classical Revival style frame dwelling. It features a central two-story Ionic order portico, with a one-story Doric order porch which runs beneath the portico for the full length of the three-bay facade. The house is an enlarged and remodeled earlier dwelling. Also on the property is a contributing outbuilding.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.[2]
William Alfred Moore House
Historical place museum in Mount Airy, North Carolina. The William Alfred Moore House is a historic home located at Mount Airy, Surry County, North Carolina. It was built between 1861 and 1863, and is the earliest known structure still standing in Mount Airy. The house is known for its Italianate and Gothic Revival exterior details and Greek Revival interior. In the front yard stands a rare hexagonal gazebo made of wood poles and intervening laurel root walls. The Moore house is owned by the Mount Airy Restoration Foundation.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.[3]
Renfro Mill
Renfro Mill, also known as R. Roberts Leaf Tobacco House, is a historic industrial building located at Mount Airy, Surry County, North Carolina. The original section was built as a tobacco barn about 1893. The largest addition was built in 1946–1947. It is a one- to 4 1/2-story, brick, concrete, steel, wood, and granite industrial building encompassing 100,000 square feet of space. It was originally built to house a tobacco leaf house, and after 1921 the Renfro company, a sock manufacturer. The mill closed in 1997.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.[4]

The district encompasses 187 contributing buildings in the central business district and surrounding industrial and residential sections of Mount Airy. They were primarily built between about 1880 and 1930 and include notable examples of Late Victorian and Bungalow / American Craftsman architecture. Located in the district are the separately listed W. F. Carter House and Trinity Episcopal Church. Other notable buildings include the Abram Haywood Merritt House, William A. Estes House, Thomas Fawcett House, J. D. Sargent House, Campbell A. Baird House, T. Benton Ashby House, First Baptist Church, Mount Airy Friends, Presbyterian Church, Merritt Building, Banner Building, Prather Block, Midkiff Hardware Store, Welch Block, West Drug Store, Belk's Building, Workman's Federal Savings and Loan, First National Bank, Bank of Mount Airy, U.S. Post Office, and the Sparger Brothers Tobacco Factory.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, with a boundary increase in 2012, and a boundary decrease in 2021.[5]
Edgar Harvey Hennis House
Edgar Harvey Hennis House is a historic home located at Mount Airy, Surry County, North Carolina. It was built in 1909, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, three bay by eight bay, Late Victorian / Colonial Revival style brick veneer dwelling. It has a two-story rear ell with two-tier porch, a hipped roof with multiple projecting gables, four corbelled interior chimneys, and a wraparound porch.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.[6]
