United methodist church in Leesville, Louisiana. The First United Methodist Church is a church in Leesville, Louisiana. Located at 202 N. Fifth Street, the building was built in 1920 in a Bungalow style/Craftsman style, Mission style/Spanish Revival style and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The building is a T-shaped church which was built in 1920 and expanded in the 1950s. It is a two-story building, with the worship space upstairs and a high brick basement story holding offices and meeting rooms. The front facade of the building has "a pronounced Spanish mission style gable pierced by a curvaceous vent in the Baroque manner."[1]

The Vernon Parish Courthouse, located at 201 S. 3rd St. in Leesville in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, was built in 1910. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The stuccoed masonry courthouse is Classical Revival in style. It has four monumental pedimented porticos on the four sides of the building, each in between small wings that project diagonally at each corner, giving the building an "X"-shaped plan. It has two main floors, and a third floor Baroque domed cupola with a clock on each face.[2]

Historical place in Leesville, Louisiana. The Edmond Ellison Smart House, in Leesville in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, is believed to have been built in about 1870. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

It was the longtime home of Dr. Edmond Ellison Smart (d.1908), founder of the town of Leesville.

The house's architectural style is not clear, but in general terms is consistent with Greek Revival and Italianate influences. The house has a broad hip roof and a gallery which encircled the house, but which is now enclosed at the rear.[3]
