Theme park in Gilroy, California. Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park, often shortened to Gilroy Gardens, is a horticulture-themed amusement park located in Gilroy, California, United States. Designed and built by Michael Bonfante, the park originally opened as Bonfante Gardens in 2001. The 536-acre theme park is owned by the city of Gilroy and operated by Cedar Fair; it features over 40 rides and attractions and is known for its Circus Trees, created by Axel Erlandson. Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park is a 501 corporation that controls operations at the park.[1]

Uvas Creek Preserve
The Dennis DeBell Uvas Creek Park Preserve is a 125-acre greenbelt preserve operated by the City of Gilroy in southwest Santa Clara County, California. The Uvas Creek, which meanders through the center of the preserve, is its defining characteristic. The preserve is bordered by Uvas Creek Levee on the north, and by Christmas Hill Park on the south. A paved trail runs for approximately 2 miles along the boundary of the preserve, and can be used for jogging, hiking or bicycling.
The park is open seven days a week from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM from March - October, and 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM from November - February.[2]

The park provides trails for jogging, hiking and bicycling, as well as soccer and baseball/softball diamonds for group sports, and multiple picnic areas. The Christmas Hill Park Ranch Site adjoins east of the park, and provides an environmental education center, as well as additional sports facilities.

Christian Church of Gilroy
Christian church in Gilroy, California. Christian Church of Gilroy is a historic church located at 160 5th Street in Gilroy, California. The church was built in 1857 for Gilroy's congregation of the Christian Church, also known as the Disciples of Christ. The congregation was one of the first of any denomination in Gilroy, and it was the first to build its own church. The Greek Revival church is a rectangular, 1+1⁄2-story building with a bell tower over the northern entrance. The tower features louvered openings, corner pilasters, and a projecting cornice at the top. The church held the 1859 State Meeting of the Disciples of Christ, which attracted roughly 1,000 attendees. In 1885, the church moved several blocks to its present location.
The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.[4]
Edgar Holloway House
The Edgar Holloway House is a historic house in Gilroy, California. It was built in 1903 for Edgar and Dora Holloway, whose grandparents had taken part in the California Gold Rush. After they died in 1912–1913, the house was sold out of the Holloway family. It belonged to the Barshinger family until 1949, and it was later repurposed as a battered women's shelter.
The house was designed by William H. Weeks in the Colonial Revival and Victorian architectural styles. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since January 28, 1982.[5]
